Rockpooling at Wembury and Bantham Beach
Rockpooling is one of our important itineraries during the 4 days and 3 nights trip in South Devon. We spent a long time at the beach and had a lot of fun, and the children enjoyed it.
Wembury beach and Bantham Beach are top rockpooling spots in South Devon, and they are worthy of their name.
Wembury beach is one of the best rockpooling and crabbing beaches in South Devon. We did found a lot of marine life among the many rock pools, a lot of small crabs and even some big crabs. Kids were very excited. The sunset on the beach is very beautiful, we didn’t want to leave until the it turned very dark.
Bantham Beach is anothe famous blue flag beach, ranked 1st beach on the South Devon official website. It was the lowest tide when we arrived. We found some jellyfish on the beach and in the rock pools, they are non-poisonous moon jellyfish. We also found many other creates like small blenny, starfish and crabs, red and green anemones, sea shell, sea slug, etc. We let go all the creatures before we left, they belong to the sea.

What are you waiting for? Have a go with your kids, you won’t be disappointed!
